Gold Laced Orpington
This variety is called Blacked Laced Buff in Germany where they originated. These birds are quite stunning and fairly rare even in England and are owned by only a few breeders in the USA. For diversifying the gene pool the German breeder Manfred Schwarz advises to cross in black. After 2 or 3 years the birds are bigger, more vital, and in the correct color again.
The Gold Laced Orpington is a striking bird with beautiful distinct lacing. The eye color is brown-red, the beak is light horn colored in the male and horn colored in the female. The legs and feet are white. In the females slight gray shinning is allowed.
We are just beginning our Gold Laced breeding pen with chicks from the Autumn Farm Line. More lines will be added soon.
