Butler Beans
This is a variety of pole beans that has been handed down through my family. They were grown by my grandparents, Ernest and Clellie Butler aka Daddy Bo-Bo and Mama Butler, and have ever since been called "Butler Beans". They produce abundantly and will grow as high as whatever they are climbing (I've learned not to plant them next to something taller than me!) They cook up delicious with a little pork seasoning, make a tasty green bean casserole for the holidays, and freeze well to save for winter side dishes. Available in limited amounts due to the spring weather delaying planting - some have to be saved to plant next year!
